I’ve watched too many Miku Miku beam videos… I’ve been brainwashed by Miku… AAAAAAAAAAAAAA

So, if you watch animated videos, you might know the Miku Miku Beam trend. People usually animate miku holding that pose, but I can’t animate so…

It seemed fun to draw Miku, so I decided to join the trend at the time. This drawing only took me around 6 hours to draw, I finished it in two days. I guess I was really motivated at the time. Usually it would go like this: 1. I find interesting pose 2. I sketch 3. Doesn’t look good 4. Give up 5. Wait a few weeks, then come back 6. Fix everything. 7. Colour it in 8. Either something goes terribly wrong or it really is just bad coloured in 9. Spend hours finding mistakes 10. Have mental breakdown 11. Fix mistake 12. Rinse and repeat. BUT THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN FOR THIS ONE, I’M SOOOOO HAPPYYYYYYY AND GRATEFULLLL, THANK YOU LORDDDDD.

Anyway, if you don’t know, Hatsune Miku, codenamed CV01, was the first Japanese VOCALOID to be both developed and distributed by Crypton Future Media, Inc.. She was initially released in August 2007 for the VOCALOID2 engine and was the first member of the Character Vocal Series. She was the seventh VOCALOID overall, as well as the second VOCALOID2 vocal released to be released for the engine. Her voice is provided by the Japanese voice actress Saki Fujita. There have since been numerous installments, such as additional voice libraries dubbed ‘Append’, as well as an upgrade for the VOCALOID3 engine, which contained an English vocal release. She received a VOCALOID4 update to her Japanese and English voicebanks in August 2016, as well as a Mandarin Chinese voicebank in September 2017.

PS:
Ah wait, at the time I’m uploading the this picture of Hatsune Miku beside this text, I am just now realizing that I coloured her hair a bit too blue. It’s supposed to be turquoise not blueeee ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜. Oh wait, maybe it’s because of the blender modes and effects? Ehhh, wait, but I don’t think so? Give me a sec to check the timelapse.

PS V2.0:
Nahh, I coloured in the correct shade of turquoise. I just went a bit overboard with the effects.

For the background, I considered using rainbow colours to make it pop. I tried, it looked a bit too much (these sort of things are hard okay?? ðŸ˜ðŸ˜). So, I just decided to use the same background concept but with grey.
